Reetta Hiltunen (b. 1980) is a multidisciplinary artist and printmaker based in Helsinki. She works across a range of creative fields, including painting, printmaking, fashion and surface pattern design.

Hiltunen’s practice explores the intersection of art and design through layered and visually rich graphic expression. Her visual language is abundant, focusing on figurative imagery and geometric patterns, developed through her own artistic process. These motifs appear both within the figures and as background elements, transferring into textile and design works.

Her art is rooted in strong craftsmanship and applied across various techniques such as drawing and painting, often on paper. In her printmaking, hand-drawn elements are digitally composed into complex visual collages.

Hiltunen’s body of work is aesthetically refined and stylistically cohesive. Her artworks unfold as narrative figures and symbolic compositions, in which layers of meaning create deep resonance with the viewer.

With over 20 years of experience in the art field, Hiltunen graduated as a printmaker with a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki in 2011. prior to that, she studied for instance in Middlesex University in London and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her work has been exhibited internationally, awarded, and included in collections.

As a creative entrepreneur, Hiltunen manages her own Ateljé in Ullanlinna District of helsinki and runs an art-focused design brand. She actively contribute to the creative community and currently serves as a board member of Finnish association for designers, Ornamo Art & Design.
