Reetta Hiltunen (b. 1980) is Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist and printmaker working across painting, printmaking, fashion, and surface pattern design. Her practice explores the intersection of art and design through layered and visually rich graphic expression.

Her visual language is abundant, focusing on figurative imagery and geometric patterns, developed through her own artistic process. These motifs appear both within the figures and as background elements, transferring into textile and design works.

Her work is grounded in strong craftsmanship and material sensitivity, most often realized on paper through drawing, painting, and printmaking. In her printmaking practice, hand-drawn elements are digitally composed into complex visual collages, creating works that combine traditional techniques with contemporary processes.

Hiltunen’s body of work is aesthetically refined and stylistically cohesive. Her artworks unfold as narrative figures and symbolic compositions, in which layers of meaning create deep resonance with the viewer.

She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki. Preceded by international studies at institutions such as Middlesex University (BA in Fine Arts, 2005), Chelsea College of Art and Design, London and exchange studies  at the School of Visual Arts, New York. Her work has been exhibited internationally, awarded, and included in collections.

As a creative entrepreneur, Hiltunen manages her own Ateljé in Ullanlinna District of helsinki and runs an art-focused design brand. She actively contributes to the creative community, currently serving on the board of Ornamo, a Finnish association for designers.
